Icelandic Sheepdog Puppies from the Hood Family
Our family has chosen to raise Icelandic Sheepdogs as family pets because of our love for this dog.
They make a wonderful family pet. They are energetic, friendly, playful and inquisitive. They enjoy just being with the family and love lots of attention.
Icelandic Sheepdogs come in a variety of colors: gray, black and silver with white, although yellow or reddish with white is the most common color. They can also be shorthaired or longhaired.
We currently have adult Icelandic Sheepdogs. Our next planned litter is due to be born sometime in 2007. We encourage you to become familiar with the Icelandic Sheepdog breed. Please read the upcoming book entitled Icelandic Sheepdogs: A Basic Guide to this Breed, written by Karen Jean Matsko Hood and published by Whispering Pine Press, Inc., which is due to be out in early 2007. We also encourage you to read as much information on the proper care of dogs, because bringing a dog home is a serious decision and is something you and your family should fully commit to before planning to buy a puppy.
We have already had requests for this litter, so to be fair to everyone out there, we have decided to handle it in the following manner. We will be taking advance non-refundable deposits of $250 along with a request of the type of puppy you are looking for. Please include whether you are looking for a male or female, the requested color, and if you are willing to accept any substitutions. We will be selling the puppies in order of deposits first received.
Icelandic Sheepdogs sell for between $800 and $2500 depending upon their gender. Females are generally more expensive than males, and rare colors are usually more expensive than the more common colors. Please fill out the form below for advance orders and send along with your deposit. We will do the best we can to match your requests with the first available puppy.

Enclosed is my $250 deposit to order an Icelandic Sheepdog puppy due to be born in 2007. I understand that this $250 deposit is non-refundable because a puppy is being reserved especially for me and that the deposit will be advanced to the next litter if my preference isn’t met.
